JMU Wilson Hall

Highlights

The historic renovation of Wilson Hall was completed in the summer of 2019 and was the first complete plumbing and mechanical renovation to this landmark building in almost 90 years. The installation of the HVAC systems in this four-story bluestone building, while preserving the historical finish details of the original building, required careful coordination. Campus steam is utilized to produce heating hot water.

RBI installation work included:

  • Two water-cooled chillers to serve the indoor air handler and the grade mounted air handler, both of which feature energy recovery modules and serve VAV terminals throughout the building
  • Dedicated ductless, split-system air conditioning units serve the various data, telephone, and elevator equipment rooms
