JMU West Campus Dining Hall


Opened in the summer of 2018, the Dining Hall is a 101,000 square foot, three-story structure featuring nine concept dining venues and four national chain venues with seating capacity for over 3,000 patrons. The third floor features formal banquet and meeting spaces, as well as offices for Dining Services. Campus steam is utilized to produce heating hot water, as well as domestic hot water.

RBI installation included:

  • Two water-cooled chillers to serve the indoor air handler and the three rooftop air handlers
  • Multiple energy recovery units to aid in reducing the energy usage of the facility
  • Dozens of kitchen hood exhaust systems to serve the numerous food preparation areas and concept dining venues
